Every Act Makes an Impact
Across communities, many small nonprofits and community-led initiatives are delivering life changing support and addressing some of our greatest social challenges, often with minimal resources. In Black communities especially, these efforts are expanding opportunities and transforming outcomes in powerful ways. Yet many leaders—whose work is deeply personal— don't have the support needed to sustain their efforts, and their impact is underrecognized. Act Black works collaboratively to build stability for small, community-led, and Black-led efforts, as well as to encourage Black social leadership and entrepreneurship. We believe the power to drive change lies within our communities - and we invite you to join us in advancing these efforts.

Our Mission: Act Black sparks enthusiasm and connects everyday people–primarily within Black communities–with opportunities to contribute their time, talent, and resources to small, community-based initiatives that are Black-led and Black-serving.
Our Approach: We use a variety of digital media as a vehicle to provide both information and inspiration to drive social, human, and financial capital to these transformative efforts. Our work is rooted in collaboration and cooperation, dedicated to enriching the broader ecosystem of Black-led and Black-serving initiatives to promote lasting wellbeing of our communities.
