Many small, Black-led organizations serve their communities with a passion shaped by their leaders’ lived experiences, deep community relationships, and personal commitment to the people they serve. Those connections keep them close enough to listen deeply, adapt as needs change, and respond with care that goes beyond transactional services. With strong organizational capacity and reliable resources, these organizations can be powerful vehicles for lasting, community-rooted impact. Yet they do not always receive the visibility or consistent support their work deserves.

Act Black coordinates resources, connects people and organizations, amplifies their impact, and mobilizes everyday people to contribute their time, talent, money, and connections. Together, these efforts change the way small, Black-led organizations are seen, supported, and sustained.

We amplify the work of small, Black-led organizations to expand awareness and understanding of their impact, helping more people recognize their value, champion their work, and connect them to new opportunities.

SUPPORTED

Support can take many forms. We mobilize people and resources around organizations, from financial contributions and professional expertise to board service, introductions, relationships, and access that can help build capacity and expand impact.

SUSTAINED

Organizations need support that extends beyond a funding cycle or a short-term wave of interest. We work to strengthen lasting relationships, reliable resources, and networks organizations can leverage as their needs and opportunities evolve.
